Greetings, and welcome to the Beauty of the Word! I am very excited to begin blogging about the wonderful things that the Lord has to show us in His Word! But before we get into the blogging, I want to share a few rules under which I will manage the site. First, this site is meant to open the reader’s eyes to perspectives on the Word that are often overlooked. These perspectives were well known to ancient Rabbis, and are understood by many serious students of Scripture today. My goal is to help the reader begin seeing the scriptures through a new depth – one that often leads the student closer to the heart of God. What this site is not about is debate. There are often many different perspectives on the same passage of Scripture. I will never attempt to force the reader into my perspective, Rather, I will present the Scripture, often with historical context, and let it speak for itself. Comments representing other views are very welcome. They spur thoughts and generate learning. But mean spirited comments or replies are not welcome. I will moderate the blog from the perspective of Christian love, and I hold to the concept: In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, harmony; but in all things, charity.
