Then He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Luke 21:29-33

My friends, the fig trees are figuratively budding.  From my perspective, we are very close to the time that Jesus was describing in our passage above.  And what was that time?  None other than the end of the age.  The end of what we now know as the church age – the age when Jesus gave birth to, grew, tested, and made beautiful His bride, the church.  We will expand on the above passage soon.  But first, let me make a solemn plea.  My friends, do not miss our Lord’s call on your life!  I ask you to humble yourself, seek the Lord while He may be found and make peace with Him.  Our God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that all should come to a saving relationship with Him.  Do not miss out!

Why am I reaching out now, after being away for so long?  In my recent post, I mentioned that I have been in sin for not continuing to write.  The Lord has given me the ability to understand His Word on a holistic/systemic level, and given me the ability to write.  It is my responsibility to use these gifts to reach out and help others understand the truth(s) of the Kingdom.  And for a long time, I convinced myself that writing was useless, because no one was actually reading.  But that is not for me to decide.  And the Lord has laid it on my heart that our time in this age is drawing to a close.  How can I not help my readers see what the Lord is showing me?  And so, I will.

I will help you to understand, using both Scripture and reasoning from current events, why the time is close.  And more importantly, I will help my reader navigate through the Scriptures to see how we should approach this reality, and what should be our response.  And I’ll do so with the love that God has for me.  Let’s start with what we see happening today.

Today’s Reality:

Most of us could not have envisioned what would ultimately happen this year, 2020.  2019 certainly saw both local and global concerns.  Tensions were high between countries regionally, political and religious ideological difference were causing conflict between many sovereign states, there were regional economic concerns around the world, and it certainly seemed like things were getting worse.  But no one (at least the common people) could have predicted the change that we would see in our world when the calendar turned over to 2020.  Times have changed throughout the world.  We have seen:

  1. A global pandemic that has caused the death of hundreds of thousands and possibly could ultimately total in the millions of people around the world.
  2. A response to the pandemic that has changed the very nature of our interaction as a global and local society.  We are largely distancing ourselves from each other – working from home and using technology to replenish our homes.
  3. Societal unrest around the world.  We have seen continued conflict in regional areas between states, and between governments and their own people groups.
  4. Coordinated efforts by certain influential people and organizations to destroy society in order to bring about their radical agenda and vision.

Regardless of where you are in the world, it would be hard not to recognize that these things are on the increase.  But there is more.  Along with these cultural trends, we have the following things happening – formerly behind the scenes, but now becoming much more mainstream:

  1. The destruction of the created order of society and of God-ordained morality:
    1. Dissolution of the nuclear family – some groups are working to abolish the order created through the family structure.
    2. Destruction of the created sexual function – it is impossible to miss the global trend towards higher acceptance and embracing of homosexuality
    3. Destruction of the created gender separation and roles – the attempt to scientifically alter one’s body to become either the opposite gender, or something that is neither or both
    4. People and sex trafficking at the highest levels of countries and governments
  2. The attempt to develop technology that would control thoughts of men, both on an individual and a collective basis:
    1. Beginning in the Nazi concentration camps by Josef Mengele,
    2. Continuing in the United States by the CIA and other organizations under the project titled MK Ultra (and continued under many more titles, including Monarch),
    3. And joined by many organizations in several countries, including the Tavistock Institute (UK), the Esalen Institute (US), McGill University (Canada) and many others.
  3. The destruction of our own species:
    1. Advances are being made in the following sciences, all of which would certainly lead to the destruction of humanity if the Creator allowed us to continue on this path:
      1. Genetic Engineering
      2. Robotics
      3. Artificial Intelligence (general), and
      4. Nanotechnologies.
    2. Scientific research and development funding is being spent on an unprecedented scale  to bridge the gap between ours and other dimensions or universes; research such as:
      1. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at Cern, and
      2. Quantum computers such as has been pioneered by D-Wave in Canada.

Truthfully, this list just scratches the surface.  If even a fraction of these issues were present in our global society, we would be in danger.  But systemically, there is no conceivable end to these things other than utter destruction of our human civilization.  In fact, the Lord said just this:

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Matthew 24:21-22

Did you notice His last statement?  He does give hope – “for the elect’s sake, those days will be shortened.”  But the overall tone of our Lord’s statement is ominous indeed – “no flesh would be saved.”  There are many reasons for this – we have multiple enemies, including ourselves.  We also have a just and perfect Creator whose Law is also perfect, and whose discipline and wrath are righteous.  My friends, the future could not be more grim.  Let me repeat that.  OUR future could not possibly be more grim.  That is, unless our Creator does what He has promised to do.  And He will.

In this series, I will help my reader understand what the Scriptures have to say about what we are seeing around the world today, and where it fits into our earthly timeline, and finally, how we need to respond.  And as a former US Naval Officer, I will also bring strategy to the table and highlight the likely war-fighting strategies that we are seeing come to fruition right before our eyes.  My brothers and sisters, I believe that our time is VERY short.  Short on the order of years rather than decades, and quite possibly months rather than years.  So, though these posts are quite difficult to write, I will try to post often.  But before I finish this post, let me close with some incredibly timely words from our Lord through His evangelist Paul to our brother Timothy:

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power.
2 Timothy 3:1-5

And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 3:5-7

Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:12-17

I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
2 Timothy 4:1-5

My friends, these are the times in which we currently live.  I will expand on these passages and many others in a coming post.  Heed these words, brothers and sisters!  I beseech you!  Read the Word and come to a true knowledge and relationship with our loving Father and our Savior.  Please do not put it off!  It is in a spirit of God’s love that I ask these things!

May you strengthen yourselves in the Lord and in the power of His name.  May you endure to the end. And may God bless your study of His Word!

In Him,

YouJi
